Our Mission

While We Wait is a nonprofit organization and community of supporters, committed to improving the mental health and overall well-being of those navigating the foster care system.  We are creating something that will reduce the trauma of the hardest day of many children's lives. We strive to support our Carlinville DCFS office and workers, the families of the children in foster care, both biological and foster and most importantly the children in Macoupin and Montgomery counties who are placed into protective custody.
